Ospreys back on the nest
On Wednesday around 11am, a Osprey was seen to land very briefly on the nest. Sadly this bird didnt hang around so we couldnt see if it was one of our breeding pair. On Sunday just after 1330 two Ospreys landed on the nest. A unringed bird, a larger bird

LRP and Wheatear
At last some genuine summer migrants! A cracking male Wheatear was out on fence post from the UU hide this morning and a Little Ringed Plover dropped in on the Mere around midday, only to be hassled by resident Ringed Plover. A real cross over of species
