Taking stock
The annual shop stock take is being conducted this week. This does mean that the shop will be closed from 3pm on Tues 10 May until Thurs 12 May. We apologise for an inconvenience this causes, and will hopefully have the shop opening earlier in the day

Whimbrel
A group of 4 Whimbrel appeared on the Mere mid afternoon for a drink and a bathe before heading off north. Other signs of wader passage were a group of 8 Ringed Plover and a Dunlin on Woodend Marsh this morning. Other waders included single Curlew, Ruff

Update Saturday 7th May
Visitors were treated to tremendous views of two tawny owlets yesterday afternoon from the Peter Scott Trail. No sign of the them yet this morning. The first cuckoo of the year was heard on neighbouring land. Listen out for it when on the summer walk
