Has the Cranes egg hatched ?

The 24 hour watch on the Cranes nest has had tantalizing glimpses of what might be the chick but no really good sighting yet. Lets hope today is the day. A watch is being mounted from the Peng Observatory but also check from Infocus and the wooden Rushy Hide.

The hours of watching are paying dividends Yesterday a Red Kite and a first summer little Gull.

Watch out for the large bream that are spawning in front of the observatory.
