Jack Snipe & Common Tern
A Jack Snipe was reported from Woodend Marsh today, at the far side, also 2 Dunlin and 2 Common Sandpiper here as well as 6+ Ruff including a breeding plumage male bird. Display flighting Little Ringed Plover over the Mere.
At least 4 Mediterranean Gulls around the Mere on and off, the pair of adults, the adult seemingly paired to a BHG, and a 1st summer bird.
A Common Tern was on the Mere for a while this afternoon, also at least 2-3 Swifts over the fields with House Martins, Swallows and lots of Sand Martins.
