Lots of activity from the Cranes

This is a great time to come and see these birds.
Frenzied activity continues around the favorite sit from the Martin Smith Hide. Lots of calling , displaying and mateing yesterday with some nest building and sitting from the main pair, Chris and Monty. Nine birds all from the Great Crane Project scheme in Somerset were around yesterday, at least 7 so far today, another pair, Bart and Wendy are increasingly using the marsh in front of the Zeiss Hide. All are feeding mainly in the maize field just north of the Tack piece which is the field in front of the Martin Smith Hide.
