Over 10,000 waders in the sun !

Some great wader spectacles this morning in the sun. Difficult to get good counts with so much movement but certainly more than 10,000 waders mainly Lapwing, Golden Plover and Dunlin.

Holden Tower and Hides

Bewick Swan 16
Whitefronted Goose 90 and Pinkfoot 1 (one field to north watch for movements)
Wigeon 480 inland and 300+ on estuary
Teal 430
Pintail 27
Lapwing 5100
Golden Plover 2200 and still increasing at 10.00.
Redshank 6 inland and at least 8 on the estuary.
Ruff 11
Dunlin 2850 scattered among Lapwing
Little Stint 1 on Holden scrape
Ruff couldn't find any but must be there somewhere.
Black Tailed Godwit 77
Crane 7 in fields to north.

Black Tailed Godwit 284 extra to the birds on the Tack Piece.
