There's never been a better weekend to get a water butt
It’s raining, it’s pouring, but there’s a drought.... so collect as much water as you can while the old man is snoring.
Much of England is in drought. The current rainy weather is welcomed by wildlife, farmers and gardeners alike, but it is far from enough to reverse the effects of the last two dry winters.
The best way to keep your garden lush and a neighbourhood wildlife oasis is to store water while it rains. Water butts are available at many garden and DIY outlets. Check the website of your local water company or council to see if they are running any promotions for cheap water butts.
