South Lake

On the wader scrape we have Black-tailed Godwit 132, Lapwing 70, Redshank 51 and an adult male Ruff. The deep lake is very busy with Coot, Gadwall, Mallard, Tufted Duck and Greylag, most of these birds are feeding in the weedy areas. A family of Great Crested  and Little Grebes are present as are a pair of Common Terns. The Black-headed Gull colony has now dispersed but a day roost remains, one Common Gull was among them.
