Two great white egrets flew on to the estuary this morning at dawn. A bittern and a female goosander have both been seen in front of the Peter Scott hide. Other highlights include 861 lapwing, 24 black tailed godwit, 400 knot, 110 curlew, 2200 oystercatcher, 2 greenshank, 6 snipe, 200 dunlin, 45 redshank, peregrine, 5 little grebe, 2 great crested grebe, 72 greylag goose, 71 shelduck, 63 shoveler, 41 teal, 109 wigeon, 81 gadwall, 110 mallard, 24 pochard, 75 tufted duck, 35 little egret, 3 water rail and 4 redpoll.
