For those who love the super natural but not the spook, WWT Arundel is the place to explore this October half term.

This Halloween, escape the ghouls and goblins, and step into a super natural adventure that will leave big and little nature fans spellbound.

  • Mix a magical potion and cast a spell for wetlands
  • Examine an owl pellet to find out what they eat for breakfast
  • Search for spotted tops, giant domes, and more on a fungi hunt

Daily Activities in the Wildlife Garden

When: Various times
Cost: included in your admission price

Potion Making

Time: 10.30 am-3.30 pm
Be a wetland witch and mix magical (make-believe) potions in the Secret Glen of the Wildlife Garden! (self-led with staff nearby)

Monster Mash Up

Time: 11.30 am – 1.30 pm
Get creative with clay and cones to creature your wetland creature from foraged materials! Our Learning Team is on hand to help

Additional activities

Owl Pellet Dissection Workshops

When: Sun Oct 26, Mon Oct 27, Fri 31 Oct & Sat 1 Nov
Cost: £5 per family (per 1 pellet)
Discover what (who) our Barn Owls have been eating with help from our friendly learning team. Book at the admission desk when you arrive.

Pond Dipping for Water Creatures at the Raised Pond

When: Daily
Time: 11am-3pm
Cost: £3 per family / group of up to 6
Hunt for mini-beasts at the Raised Pond each day of October half term. Book at the admission desk when you arrive

Boo-tiful Boat Safaris

When: Daily
Time: 10.30 first boat, 3.30 last boat
Cost: £3 per person
So much nature it’s scary on this 20min tour with your wildlife guide!

Fungi Hunt

Time: Daily 10am - 3.30pm
Cost: included in your admission price
Search for spotted tops, giant domes, shaggy ink caps and more on a fungi hunt. Pick up a free fungi guide in the Visitor Centre and see what natural fungi you can spot.
