MUDFEST WEEK AT CASTLE ESPIE with Boom Studios
Boom Studios will be at Castle Espie for a full week of creative, muddy fun during Mudfest. Join us for hands-on art activities inspired by nature, texture and mess.
Location: Castle Espie 11am-3pm.
When: Mon 9th - Friday 13th February.
Monday 9th – Messy Mornings: Mud Pizza
Drop in to Messy Mornings to celebrate National Pizza Day by making a mud pizza. Activities include collage, cutting and sticking, and mixing our favourite Messy Morning colour – brown.
Tuesday 10th – Mud Painting: Flowers and Plants
Explore mud painting inspired by flowers and plants found in nature.
Wednesday 11th – Clay Nature Impressions Workshop
Join Heather Cassidy from Boom Studios for a hands-on clay workshop. Enjoy a gentle foraging wander to collect leaves, twigs and pine cones then press their textures into clay. Finish your piece using shape cutters and soft watercolour details to create a unique nature-inspired decoration to take home.
Thursday 12th – Nature-Inspired Clay Seed Mosaics
Create snails, ladybirds and flowers using air-dry clay, then press seeds into the surface to form a natural mosaic.
Friday 13th – Mud Painting: Insects and Animals
Finish the week with mud painting inspired by insects and animals.
Price included with admission, drop in sessions. Dress for mess.
