Get insider wildlife spotting tips and all of your questions answered by our friendly wardens.
Learn how to spot subtle signs, plants, animal tracks, and species you might otherwise miss. These guided walks will help you identify a broad range of different species – which is a great skill to practice!
Each walk will be totally different and what you’ll see depends on the time of year, and weather. Every month brings new superstar species for you to enjoy!

Walks last around 90 minutes (but feel free to dip out early if needed).
Included in entrance ticket price, which is free for WWT members.

Join our knowledgeable team for a fascinating walk dedicated to dragonflies and damselflies – nature’s aerial acrobats. These ancient insects are not only beautiful but also vital indicators of a healthy wetland.
If it’s too wet to walk, we’ll run a special pond dipping session to discover dragonfly nymphs up close!
