Macro Magic: Dragonflies & Damselflies

As part of our vibrant Dragonfly Festival, we’re celebrating the incredible macro photography skills of our visitors who’ve captured the dazzling details of dragonflies and damselflies found here at WWT Llanelli.
With 22 species calling our wetlands home, these stunning close-up images reveal the shimmering wings, jewel-like colours, and intricate patterns that are often missed by the naked eye. From the electric blues of the Azure Damselfly to the size and power of the impressive Emperor Dragonfly, each photo offers a rare glimpse into the miniature world of these aerial acrobats.
On display until 22 September, this showcase is a tribute to the beauty of summer wetland wildlife and the passion of our community of nature photographers.
