WWT Llanelli will be closed for one day on Wednesday 20 May.

We’re sorry for this short-term inconvenience, but this date has been chosen to allow our team to rearrange the shop and entrance ahead of the upcoming Welcome Project construction, and get everything ready in time for a fantastic May half-term experience. We will reopen on Thursday 21 May as usual. Thank you for your support and understanding.

The common sandpiper has also been on deep water lake, so you never know where it's going to pop up next. The first cuckoos of spring have been seen on deep water lake and the eastern scrapes. There have been many sightings of whitethroats and lesser whitethroats recently along with all the other spring favourites like the reed, sedge and willow warblers. A grasshopper warbler has also been heard! A beautiful male garganey was seen on deep water lake. One of the reserve staff was also lucky enough to get a rare sighting of a tawny owl this week.
