The story from Llanelli so far...

Two great white egrets on the saline lagoons in front of the Brirish steel hide and a wryneck is still present. Other sightings include 31 lapwing, 285 black-tailed godwit, 88 knot, 300 curlew, 540 oystercatcher, greenshank, spotted redshank, 45 redshank, kestrel, peregrine, 5 little grebe, 6 great crested grebe, 55 greylag goose, 23 shelduck, 42 shoveler, 37 teal, 150 wigeon, 81 gadwall, 110 mallard, 24 pochard, 75 tufted duck and 35 little egret.

On October 12, we had a number of sightings including a Eurasian ryeneck, 6 snipe, over 300  knot, ruff, and approximately 500 curlew, 1,000 oystercatchers, 30 brent geese, 100 redshank, 60 black-tailed godwits, and 240 wigeon returning from Russia. In smaller numbers, we’ve seen teal, shoveler, pintail and several wheatears.
