Insect Photography Competition
Grab your camera and step into the miniature world of insects at Martin Mere!
As part of our Dragonfly Festival, we’re thrilled to launch our Insect Photography Competition.
Whether you're snapping shimmering wings, piercing eyes, or vibrant bodies, we want to see your most breathtaking shots. No fancy equipment needed, just submit your photos taken at Martin Mere!
Prizes
Shortlisted, runner-ups, and winners will be displayed in our exhibition hall from September 2025. Winners will receive the prize of a yearly membership (or free renewal for existing members).
Take a look at our categories:
Adult: for those over the age of 18.
Junior: for those under the age of 18 (parent or guardian must enter on behalf of children under the age of 13).
What you can enter:
Equipment: Both photos from mobile phones and cameras are allowed
Colour: We will accept both colour and black and white photos
Size: Please ensure that each photo is no more than 10mb
Location: Photos must be taken at Martin Mere
Format: we will accept png, jpg, and jpeg format
Limit: up to 3 images per person, any entries after this will not be judged
