Adventure play areas at WWT Martin Mere

Climb, crawl and slide your way around our nature-based play area.

WWT Martin Mere outdoor play area

Let your imagination run wild in our adventure play spaces, where nature and fun go hand in hand. From clambering over timber trails and splashing in water to crossing jungle-like rope bridges and scaling the summit of our towering climbing frames, there’s something for explorers from pre-school to teenagers to enjoy.

Whether you’re darting around like a dragonfly, splashing in the water like a flamingo, or building dens like an otter, our adventure play zones invite creativity, exercise and fun at every turn. And with spots for grown-ups to sit back and enjoy a well-earned coffee break, it’s a popular space for every member of the family.

Huge Adventure Play Area

For older kids, head towards our huge play area located by our gift shop. From zip wire screams and scramble net laughs to treehouse trailblazing, our huge adventure playground is perfect for hours of fun.

Paddle and Play

Our newest addition, Paddle and Play is perfect for little ones. Splash and scream your way through the rain curtain at our wet play area. Control the flow of the play stream by raising and lowering the sluice gates. Or see how high you can jump in the in-ground trampolines. As well as this brand new natural wet play area, our Paddle and Play play zone also includes a woodland den building area and canoe safaris and boat tours.

Wild Walk

Ready for a wild adventure? Head to Wild Walk and explore a hidden gem and meander through a maze of wetland tracks, squelch through muddy meadows and bounce across the wobbly web bridge. On the way, look out for dazzling dragonflies and beautiful butterflies.
