Learn more about our amazing wetland wildlife on our talks and tours. When you arrive, check the What’s On board for that day’s schedule as they are subject to change.
Otter talk and feed
At 11.30am and 2.30pm every day, we feed our Asian short clawed otters, Penny and Kenai. The feed includes a talk and you can get up close to the otter to get some amazing photos.
Weird or Wonderful aviary talk
Visit our WoW aviary and learn about fascinating species like the Inca tern, spoonbill, and comb duck as they’re fed by a warden. At 3pm every day from April to mid-October.
Guide in the Hide
Every day from 2-3pm in the Discovery Hide. Learn about wildlife on the mere with our expert guides.
Moth trapping
Join us at each morning at 10:30am to unveil and get up close to the different species of moths that call Martin Mere home. With 315 different species, which ones will you discover?
Flamingo talk
Flamingos aren’t just pretty in pink, they’re packed with fascinating facts! Head to our Greater Flamingos habitat at 1:30pm for our daily talk on this fascinating species.
