Opening times

We're open 7 days a week, 364 days a year - there's always something to see and do!

Summer opening times (from 31 March 2025 - 24 October 2025)
The centre is open 9.30am to 6pm (last entry 5pm).

Winter opening times (from 25 October 2025 to 30 March 2026)
The centre is open 9:30am to 4:30pm (last entry 3:30pm).

Admission prices - save 10% online

Prices below are for tickets bought online in advance, and include a 10% saving. The 10% discount is available until midnight on the day before your visit. After this time, tickets can be purchased on the day at full price online or from our admissions team at the main entrance.

Did you know we’re a charity? Add a small Gift Aid donation to help save wetlands. This enables us to claim the tax back as part of the Government's Gift Aid scheme. For further information on Gift Aid visit the gov.uk website.

Accessibility

All our Wetland Centres exist to fulfil founder Peter Scott’s vision of connecting people with nature, so we make it a principle that our wetlands and wildlife are accessible to everyone.

Food and drink

Our Mere Side Café offers a breakfast menu until 11am that includes a full English breakfast. The lunch menu offers a selection of hot food choices until 2:30pm and a range of child portions, snacks, drinks and ice-creams.

You can also browse a wide range of gifts, books, toys, bird care and optics in our gift shop. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to assist with help and advice, and every penny you spend in our shop supports our vital conservation work.

Dogs

Unfortunately we can't allow dogs or pets of any kind on site, with the exception of trained assistance dogs, as our wildlife may become distressed. Trained assistance dogs are welcome but must be kept on their lead and under control at all times. Please ensure any dog waste is removed. If any of our birds/animals behaviour is affected by the presence of your dog, we respectfully ask that you understand that we may have to ask you to move away from the area. Please do not leave your dog in your car whilst visiting.
