Common Tern
A very pleasant day with the wind dropping although the visibility tends to be much poorer for distance viewing! The first Common Tern of the year a pair(?) in the morning on Woodend Marsh. The 1st summer Little Gull was present there too.

Latest Sightings
Barnacle Geese Most of the geese have now left the Solway, with the few that still remain on Rockcliffe Marsh on the Cumbria/Scotland border. On the high tides small numbers do fly to the reserve but these are usually less than 100. Whooper Pond Oystercat
