Warblers

A big influx of warblers today as we add Sedge, Reed and Grasshopper Warbler to the reserve's year list. Noticeably greater numbers of Willow Warbler and Blackcap around today. More Wheatear again this morning opposite the reserve.  At this time of year

A HOOPOE was seen this morning flying up the seawall from the Zeiss Hide, then cut in land past the Holden Tower just after 8.30. It was last seen heading for the Rushy and hopefully will be re-found somewhere. This is a very rare visitor to us here at Sl
