Wildlife sightings for 26th November 2012
Great White Egret- first seen on scrape, flew to main lake and moved around various islands. Currently on the grazing marsh. Flew off roughly SW at around 10:00 a.m. This was the second site record for this species. The first was 24th September 2009, wher

Today's sightings and flood information
The overnight rain has added to the high water of Tuesday and Wednesday causing a little flooding. The puddles in the village have been passed by over 100 cars today but it has also caused some to turn back. Around the grounds there has been no problems

Pintail sighting
Excitement this morning as three Pintail arrived in front of the Sand Martin hide. The two drakes were in fine plumage and with the morning sunshine they lit up the scrape. Kingfishers showing really well today from Ramsar, Sand martin and Scrape hides. A

Swans ring sightings
The evening floodlit feeds are the best ones to see good numbers of swans. Last night, though wet, was calm enough to have good numbers of swans coming close to the observatory to feed. Our Welney regular Baldur with there with his mate, U5S, and 7 cy
