Today's sightings and flood information

The overnight rain has added to the high water of Tuesday and Wednesday causing a little flooding. The puddles in the village have been passed by over 100 cars today but it has also caused some to turn back. Around the grounds there has been no problems. Access to some hides is difficult if you do not have wellies or very waterproof footwear.

The water is over your foot in a few places-Robbie Garnett and Willow Hides and South Finger paths. We have boardwalks in place to cross the deeper section (ankle depth) at the Martin Smith Hide.

With the floods the benefits are the amazing spectacle of thousands of birds on the Tack Piece. Along with the Holden Tower and Dumbles up to 6000 birds have been present and on view today.
