Events meeting update
I spent a few hours yesterday in our events meeting. Once a month, myself, the education team, marketing manager and volunteer co-ordinator get together to discuss all of the events coming up. The January meeting is always important because we go through the whole year and do a lot of planning.
There are a few things coming up that will be different, we are doing circus skills over two weekends in March, Easter holidays will be themed as an Animal Magic experience and we will have different animals coming in over different days such as birds of prey, ferrets, skunks and meerkats. We are also looking at a new event in May called the North West Photography Festival which I think will be a very good event that we can build on each year, but I will keep you updated about that event as the plans progress. We are also looking at a way that the Roundhouse Village can be open every day of the school holidays always with a different experience and how the cafe and the retail shop can link more into the events.
