We are quite proud to have reared 10 stunning Orinoco geese this year.
These hugely delicate birds are one of the prettiest of the sheldgeese, and hugely popular in collections across the country. None have been bred at Slimbridge for many a year, and staff have been racking their brains trying to work out who last had the privilege.
I'm sorry that I don't have more to say on them at present; but their buttery softs eyes and cute cheeks should hopefully fill a space in an otherwise sparse blog. Apologies, and until next time...
