Millennium Wetlands Ducklings galore at the moment! With broods of Pochard, Gadwall, Moorhen, Coot, Tufted Duck and Mallard all being seen on Deep Water Lake alongside the Black-Headed Gull chicks. A Mediterranean Gull was seen this week. Also Cormorants

British Steel Hide An adult Curlew Sandpiper was on the lagoons on the 15th, as well as 5 Whimbrel, 96 Curlew, 11 Lapwing, 18 Redshank and 3 Black-tailed Godwits. 2 Spoonbills were still present, as well as 5 Mediterranean Gulls in amongst 165 Black-heade

Recent Sightings (26th-29th May)
Millennium Wetlands A Spotted Flycatcher was seen this weekend on the reserve. Other summer visitors include 10 Whitethroat, 5 Swallow, 12 Chiffchaff, 11 Blackcap, 4 Sedge Warbler and 2 Lesser Whitethroat. There has also been 5 Reed Bunting and 6 Cetti's

Recent Sightings (22nd-25th May)
British Steel Hide A fantastic drake Garganey was present on the NRA scrapes on the 24th, where it was joined by a pair of Teal and 3 Shoveler. A male Cuckoo flew over the lagoons on the 25th. Wader wise it has typically been very quiet on the lagoons.
