Peter Scott was a remarkable man who led an extraordinary life. Conservationist, scientist, broadcaster, writer, sportsman, Olympian, artist; in any one of his chosen fields he would have been remembered as someone who made a difference.
Of all these fields it was art that was the most important to him and occupied him most directly throughout his life.
He made his living from his art, sold numerous paintings during his lifetime, used his artistic skills in support of his scientific and conservation work and created a remarkable body of natural history painting.
