You can get to us by train and bus.
The nearest train station is Cam and Dursley. The train station is 3.5 miles / 5.6 km from WWT Slimbridge
It is now possible to book a Robin bus from Cam & Dursley train station. More details on the Robin bus service and how to book can be found here. The Robin bus drops off by the toilet block in our main car park. The Robin bus is wheelchair accessible, and a request can be made upon booking for wheelchair access. The Robin buses have one wheelchair space per bus.

Warblers' Meadow guests have a dedicated parking area near to the shepherds huts. Please follow the signs in the car park.
Bewick’s Lodge guests have a dedicated parking area directly in front of the lodge.

From the last Sunday in October - January | 9.30am – 4.30pm (last entry 3.30pm). We're open every day except Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve we're open 9.30am - 3pm.

February & March | 9.30am – 5pm (last entry 4pm).

April – October (until end of BST, last Saturday in October) | 9.30am – 5.30pm (last entry 4.30pm).

Please note that you will need to leave the main visitor site at closing time.

Where to eat

Both Bewick’s Lodge and Warblers’ Meadow are self-catering accommodation.

We will provide a small bottle of milk (soya or oat milk are available on request) and a small selection of tea and coffee.

Our restaurant is open during the day when the visitor centre is open. It opens at 9.30am and closes at 4pm.

The Tudor Arms pub has a good restaurant and is a short walk of about 10 minutes back up the approach road and on the other side of the canal. If you are walking back at night, we suggest taking a torch.

Gloucestershire is rich with pubs and restaurants, and you can find many within a short drive of Warblers' Meadow. Close by are The George in Cambridge, The Bell in Frampton On Severn, and The Badger in Eastington.

General information

: You can pay with all major debit and credit cards when you book your stay.

: Please check in after 4pm. If you arrive earlier than that, please check with our Admissions team to see if the lodge or your hut has been cleaned and is ready for you.

: Please check out by 10am.

: We have a minimum age of seven for children. Please see the section below on children staying at Bewick’s Lodge and Warblers’ Meadow.

For Bewick’s Lodge guests – there are two dedicated parking spaces directly in front of the lodge. There is a sign to indicate this. If your party is travelling in three cars, please let us know so we can make sure there is an additional space for you.

For Warblers’ Meadow - there is dedicated car parking just off the main car park in front of the shepherds huts. This will be signposted from the main car park. There is then a very short walk across a little bridge to the glamping site.

For both Bewick’s Lodge and Warblers’ Meadow guests, on the day that you check out, if you plan on visiting the main visitor centre, please move your car to the main car park.

Chargeable electric chargers are available in the main car park for guests of both Bewick’s Lodge and Warbler’s Meadow.

There is plenty to see and do at WWT Slimbridge, and you have free access* to our site whilst you are a guest with us at Bewick’s Lodge and Warblers’ Meadow. Please visit our Experience page to find out everything you can do. Do also check with our Admissions team for daily updates.

*Please note that our Canoe Safari and Wild Safari (both in the summer months only) have a small fee to pay.

Warblers' Meadow information

: As long as it is available on the dates that you would like to stay, then yes, you will have the option to choose your hut when you book.

: Each hut has its own private wetland area / pond. As with all open water, it is advisable to monitor children closely. Our huts are best suited for nature and wildlife-loving children over the age of seven. There is plenty of space for children to run around outside, however Warblers’ Meadow is in a wild part of our site and the wildlife aren’t used to younger visitors.
