Young Goshawk

A number of sightings from about the reserve concerning a young Goshawk, it was seen about the Rushy and Tack Piece and from the afternoon Landrover safari. Brilliant views of the bird were had by all as it flew low ahead of the Landrover before it flew up into the tall trees, this made the Crows very nervous. Another fly-past followed, this time almost overhead until it reached the estuary flushing every bird in the area. It made a kill, we couldn't identify what but then carried the prize off to the summer walkway/Tack Piece hedge.
