Greenshank, 6 broods of Avocet, 9 Redshank, 47 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Little Grebe, 2 Pochard, male and female Ruff, 2 Lapwing, 6+ Tufted Duck broods, 70 Gadwall.
Middle Point
Spoonbill, 2 Little Egret, Grey Heron feeding in the channels, 108 Lapwing in p/l bird, 29 Dunlin, Bar-tailed Godwit, 9 Curlew S of the point, 40+ to N, broods of 20, 19, 8 and 5 Shelduck, 84 Black-headed Gull, 10 Rook, 31 Carrion Crow, 31 LBB and 20 Herring + single Common Gull on the mud/sands. Male White-spotted Bluethroat up on the sticks and singing, at least 2 Bearded Tits, fledged Reed and Sedge Warblers and Reed Buntings and Meadow Pipit feeding young, 2 Lesser Whitethroat at the Goose House Hut, Hare with leveret.

The male White-spotted Bluethroat still and a family party of Bearded Tits dropped in, male, female and four juveniles. All moved along the shore to the North East.

South Lake
110 Avocet (8 chicks), 85 Black Tailed Godwit, 2 Spotted Redshank, 45 Redshank, 6 Ruff, Green Sandpiper, 4 Pochard, 4 Oystercatcher, 12 Tufted Duck ( broods 4,8).
Tuesday 1 July

Spotted Redshank, Common Sandpiper, 8 Green Sandpiper, 5 Ruff, 7 Little-ringed Plover, 38 Redshank (2 juveniles), 39 Lapwing, Great Egret, 101 Black-tailed Godwit, Garganey with the Teal, 2 broods of 6 and 5 Gadwall.
Tack Piece
Four Green Sandpiper and brood of Shelduck. Rushy Hide- Avocet pair with one chick, broods of Gadwall, Tufted Duck, Mallards and Shelducks.
South Lake
Two Green Sandpiper, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, Spotted Redshank, 48 Coot, 5 Pochard, 5 Cormorant, 11 Oystercatcher, 2 Lapwing, broods of 1,2,2,3 Avocets around 70 adults, 20+ fledged Black-headed Gull with 70 adults.
Middle Point
Three Dunlin, adult Mediterranean Gull, 4 Common Gull, 37 Lapwing, 10 Little Egret, 3 Grey Heron, 19 Oystercatcher, 86 Avocet, 102 Curlew, 320 adult and minimum of 44 juvenile/duckling Shelducks across the Estuary. Male White-spotted Bluethroat singing from the sticks, Spoonbill in the tidal pool off the point and female Goshawk being harassed by corvids Tack Piece and Severn Ground hedges.
Monday 30 June
Rushy Hide
At least 8 Green Sandpiper Ipictured) early morning three to moved out to Tack Piece. Lapwing, 6 Avocet, Black-headed Gulls, broods of Tufted Ducks, Shelducks and Mallards.
Middle Point
Male White-spotted Bluethroat singing again this morning. Spoonbill feeding in tidal pool plus 7 Little Egret and 5 Grey Heron, 12 Lapwing, c30 Curlew, c 10 Oystercatcher and 100s of gulls. Singing Reed Buntings (pictured).
South Lake
60 Avocet + 4 broods (1,2,2,3), returning male Ruff, 42 Black-tailed Godwit, 6 drake Pochard, 22 Teal, 9 Shoveler 3 Little Grebe, Green Sandpiper, 23 Redshank, 2 Spotted Redshank, 5 Tufted Duck broods, brood of 7 Gadwall + 100 adults
Top New Piece
Three breeding plumage male and a female Ruff, 51 Lapwing, 6 Little-ringed Plover (one juvenile, not fledged from here), 61 Black-tailed Godwit including colour ringed bird, 3 Green Sandpiper, 2 Garganey (female on fleet S of Zeiss Hide and eclipse drake on the flood with 27 Teal, 43 Redshank (2 juveniles fledged from here, beware as they can cause confusion with Wood Sandpiper or other species), Shoveler, 2 Little Egret, 2 Grey Heron, single Crane.

Up to 12 Green Sandpiper but these birds are ranging about the reserve today, definite influx of new birds, Ross's Goose with Barnacle Geese.
