Spoonbill and other sightings
South Lake
The adult Eurasian Spoonbill remains on site today showing well from the South Lake Discovery Hide. It was fairly active around 1000hrs fishing and preening but also made this threat display posture (see below) to either a passing family of Mallard and ducklings or the gulls. Kingfisher succesfully catches a fish.
Lots of activity in front of the hide with regular flights to feed young nearby and calling often. Seen five times in twenty minutes.
