Another busy day around the reserve with signs of migration starting to build. A juvenile Cuckoo showed this afternoon from the Ron Barker Hide. Plenty of sightings from there with 2 Wood Sandpiper still, Little Ringed Plover and 20+ Ruff. A Garden Warble

Wood Sandpipers

School for birds’ final class graduates with flying colours
The last ever avian class at a unique school for birds has graduated with flying colours and was yesterday moved to the secret release location in Somerset. The 16 young cranes have just completed 10 weeks of Crane School at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
