Blue-headed wagtails success

After a couple of weeks watching the pair of Blue-headed Wagtail taking food into their nest on the Tack Piece, we are very pleased to announce they have fledged two young. This is the first successful breeding of this species at Slimbridge and in Gloucestershire as far as we know. Blue-headed Wagtail Motacilla flava is common in Europe but not the UK where it is replaced by Yellow Wagtail Motacilla flavissima.
