This morning's sightings-a foggy start.

We have scaffolding coming down and being re-erected at the Robbie Garnett/Stephen Kirk Hides today and this week. Some tractor mowing of the flower meadows in the Rushy will also be on the cards.

Holden Tower

Lesser Whitethroat in the bushes and Reed Warblers at the Knott Hide

Zeiss Hide/Top New Piece

Lapwing 73, Black-tailed Godwit 3, Snipe 3, Green Sandpiper 2, Ruff 3, Redshank 22, Shoveler 19, Teal 500, Swallow 10, Reed Warbler 3.

South Lake

Redshank 10, Black-tailed Godwit 94, Ruff 5, Snipe 3, Lapwing 212, Little Grebe, Cormorant.

Plenty of Siskins about, 20 were feeding in the Alders near the hide.

Tack Piece

Marsh Harrier flew over the Tack Piece in the fog and drifted off N at 0800.

Kingfisher Hide

Large tit flock, 100+ birds with warblers.
