Today's sighting-Migration in full swing

The overnight showers delivered more migrants to the reserve to add to those already present. Water levels rose sharply with the deluge all day and night yesterday but enough mud exists on the scrapes to keep the waders here. Duck numbers have risen, Teal feeding in the puddles everywhere and the Dumbles is now attracting a flock of feeding Curlew amongst the grass and pools. Bar-tailed Godwit, Lapwing, Golden Plover and Whimbrel are among them.
