Today's sightings

It was a very misty start to the day and fog rolled back in which hampered viewing to midday.

South Lake

Drained down in recent weeks to prepare for seasonal work. It has been quieter during the day as most of the birds are feeding on the Tack and Top New Piece as these areas flood for the winter. A work party may be here Tuesday-Thursday but will be out by 3.30pm to allow the roosting birds to settle for the night.

Two Glossy Ibis arrived at 4.35pm to roost tonight.
