Holden Tower

Bewick's Swans- 12 had left the Rushy and headed to the Dumbles by 0930hrs, the rest should follow during the morning.
Peregrine,2 Buzzards and the Marsh Harrier were all hunting over the reserve 0820-0930 at least.
Dunlin, Golden Plover and Lapwing flocks were very jumpy and mobile due to the raptors.
Cetti's Warbler could be heard.

Tack Piece

Greenland White-fronted Geese 5 until 0840 when they flew North to the 50 Acre.
European White-fronted Geese-now increased to 105.
Ruff8, Black-tailed Godwit 217, Curlew 150+ and 12 Redshank.
Wigeon/Teals flocks, Shoveler and Pintail on the scrape.
Bewick's Swan- a few families feeding adjacent to the Robbie Garnett Hide.

0815hrs- First winter female Greater Scaup as well as 140+ Pochard and 250+ Tufted Duck.

South Lake

The 1st winter female Greater Scaup relocated here mid-morning
