Rushy Pen
The GCP Crane female Sedge continues to sit over it's egg and nest. A first summer Mediterranean Gull dropped in and at least one Little Gull was reported here today. At least 10 Avocet nests are now active.
Holden Tower
A Peregrine and 60 Dunlin were seen out on the estuary. One female Wheatear and the nesting Lapwings noted on the Dumbles.
South Lake
Little Gull reported here again today, at least one first summer Mediterranean Gull was roosting among the 1st summer Black-headed Gulls this afternoon. Small numbers of Gadwall, the two Great Crested Grebe and the Crane pair Bart and Ruby were also noted. Up to 6 Oystercatcher, 9 Avocet and 50 Black-tailed Godwit fed on the scrape. Small flocks of Sand Martin were over the lake during the showers, a few Swifts fed higher above the grounds.
Zeiss Hide
8 Avocet and 20 Black-tailed Godwit were on the scrape, a male Wigeon and 3 GCP Cranes were also seen.
