Today's sightings

Blue skies are probably the rarest sighting of the week so far!  Its a gorgeous day here with a great selection of birds to come and see, stars of the show currently being the two Wood Sandpiper on the Tack Piece.

South Lake Hides

A nice mix of waders and ducks here including 231 Black-tailed Godwit, 157 Lapwing, 8 Ruff, 2 Dunlin, 41 Redshank and 3 Snipe on the wader scrape with around 40 Gadwall with another 30 on the deep lake.  The deep lake also holds a mixture of Tufted Duck and Mallard, but be sure to scan through and test your ID skills of ducks in eclipse.  Hiding amongst the flock are 2 Wigeon, a single Pochard, 20 Shoveler and several Teal.

A Cattle Egret also dropped in to the wader scrape around 11:40am.
