Great sunshine and a scattering of summer migrants but the site is drying out far more
quickly than it should be.Chiffchaff singing all over and one or two Blackcap as well.
The female Lesser Scaup was on the Rushy but there has been no sign of the Cackling
Canada
Goose so far today with most of the Canada Geese on site using the very
distant Saltmarsh off the Dumbles edge. There are big morning tides over the next few
days so hopefully the Cackling Canada will be forced into view. Look from the Holden
Tower, Robbie Garnett Hide and on the Rushy.
There are still small flocks ot Teal, Wigeon and Shoveler around from most of the hides.
Best birding probably from the Zeiss with a high count of 72 Black Tailed Godwits here
this morning and 2 Avocet.. Watch out for yesterdays sighting of a Bittern from here as
well.
South Lake still flooded so little wader activity other than the very busy Oystercatchers.

The summer walkway is now open so check out the high tides from there.
