Today's sightings

Buff breasted Sandpiper

It appeared at the highest point of the tide again today. It was feeding in the grass with a Wheatear along the edge of the Dumbles. The tide is forecast to be a high one tommorrow and Wednesday so it may well repeat the appearance or feed with Curlew on the Dumbles. View from Holden Tower or the Pill Box (WW2 gun emplacement) on the seawall along the Summer Walkway. A telescope will be needed as views may be distant. There will be at least one person attempting to read Curlew rings on the rising tide tommorow as part of a Severn Estuary study so will keep an eye out for this bird.
