Today's sightings

South Lake

Long-billed Dowitcher 1 and Black-tailed Godwit 90 are roosting here but commuting to the Tack Piece to feed. Also a Great Crested Grebe, 90 Teal and a Ruff.

Tack Piece

Where the action is at the moment. The godwits, Redshank and dowitcher all feeding here regularly between raptor flushes. Also a flock of Fieldfare 70, Blackbird 20, Redwhing 30, Song Thrush 2, Jay2 and 2 Roe Deer seen in the hedges or along the seawall. Around 450 Wigeon and a variety of duck have been feeding here today.

A late Swallow looked rather miserable in the rain this morning.

Holden Tower

Golden Plover, only three this morning and a Grey Plover on the estuary. The naturalised Barnacle Goose flock held a Brent Goose and Egyptian Goose. One Peregrine was also present here.

Kingfisher Hide

Lapwing, Golden Plover and Dunlin all favouring the Bottom New PieceĀ field.

9 Lesser Redpoll were feeding with the Goldfinches in the alders.
