Today's sightings

Rushy

Still a hive of activity. Many of the black-headed gulls now have chicks and the oystercatcher pair still have at least three chicks. There are now three pairs of avocets on nests and another single bird has appeared. The female crane is still incubating.

Zeiss Hide

No sign of the red-necked phalarope today. Just 4 summer plumaged dunlin, 2 little egrets and several redshank were the birds of note. 3 cranes feeding in the fields from the Kingfisher Hide.

South Finger

Reedbeds alive with the sounds and activites of breeding warblers - Reed, Sedge and Cetti's.
