Today's sightings-first Pied Flycatcher of the year!
Late news for yesterday
Extra arrival of waders yesterday pushing Dunlin total to 450, also mainly on the estuary (Middle Point at low tide) but visiting the scrapes (Top New Piece mostly) Ringed Plover 141, Sanderling 3, Turnstone 4, Common Sandpiper 2, Whimbrel 1, Little ringed Plover, 2 Red Knot. An adult Yellow legged Gull was also out on the sands and 20 Sand Martin over wetlands.

On the Landrover safari's some notable birds were recorded including the first Pied Flycatcher of the year. A female present in the NE corner of the Tack Piece, possibly viewable distantly from Martin Smith Hide. Also a juvenile Cukcoo being fed by Reed Warbler and the female Marsh Harrier. Clouded Yellow butterfly also seen.
