Some experimental rush cutting here has resulted in a large mound of rushes with 4 Buzzards sitting on it. watch out for the Little Grebes feeding young just south of the hide.

Great birding at the moment. The very colorful flock of Black Tailed Godwit and Redshank are great. Around 70 Lapwing here today with another 2 Green Sandpipers. The Spoonbill is once again roosting on here and showing well. Around 25 Shoveler and 15 Gadwall are among the big molting flock of Mallards. The Common Terns are nesting on one of the rafts but couldnt see how many young are left.
