Arctic Terns again!
We are lucky again today that lots of Arctic terns have spent the day feeding in front of most of our hides, Giving some fantastic views. At least (120) birds have been present on site today.
Having spent the winter near Antarctica these birds are now on their way to spend the summer in the Arctic! The Arctic Tern is famous for this migration which is 19,000 km journey each way. By doing this mamouth migration it does means that they get to see two summers per year and more daylight than any other creature on the planet
