Today's sightings- tidal flooding creates perfect feeding

Holden Tower

The Dumbles is busy with wading birds, flocks of over 1200 Golden Plover, 800 Lapwing and 1000 Dunlin were present before the tide around 0900hrs. More may have arrived to roost and feed here through the day. Lesser numbers of Wigeon are present and may have departed the reserve.

E. White-fronted Geese- the flock were present near Holden Tower at 1pm

The Rushy Pen

Ferruginous Duck-female here to mid morning at least.

Bewick's Swan- 150 present at 0815hrs, the flock disperses to Tack Piece and the Stall House field during the day
