Woodcocks

A very spring feel to the day with plenty of bird song to be heard along with further signs of spring.

Hot on the heels of yesterdays Woodcock was another bird that had joined yesterdays bird, 2 together which continued to show well at times, please call in to the In Focus shop for details.

Other sightings include 2 Brambling (male & female) from Janet Kear Hide morning only, also one of the Tawny Owls was showing well in the usual place near Kingfisher Hide.

A Peregrine was seen along with the usual several Common Buzzard, 2+ Sparrowhawk and Kestrel

Good numbers of Black-headed Gull c850 on the Mere contained 7+ Common Gull this afternoon also the usual pair of Great Black-backed Gull and Lesser black-backed Gull.

A Song Thrush was singing next to Ron Barker Hide. Also a few Skylark in song over the fields from UU Hide.

Still 2+ Little Egret around, also a Raven was seen in flight this afternoon.
