Latest Sightings

The warm, rainy weather continues here at Martin Mere, and there is wide variety of wildlife about.
On the main mere, which can be seen from Discovery hide, there has been Garganey spotted along with Tufted ducks, Shelduck, Oystercatcher and Lapwing. An elusive Bittern was also seen flying over the mere.
From the reedbed walk, Reed, Cetti's, Sedge and Grasshopper Warblers have been heard as well as a Willow Tit.
Over on Woodend Marsh from Gordon Taylor hide there was a potential Honey Buzzard sighting, and Green and Common Sandpipers spotted.
