Pride in Nature
Celebrate equality, inclusion and nature for all at WWT Slimbridge.
Be part of our second Pride in Nature event.
Dates: Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June 2026
Cost: All activities are free with admission or membership, but availability for the Queer Ecology Walks is limited so please book your place in advance.
Join us for an inspiring programme of daily activities that demonstrate the diversity of the natural world:
Queer Ecology Walks | 10-11:30am and 12:30-2pm
Join ecologist Connor Butler on a gentle, guided nature walk exploring the wonderfully diverse and unusual life cycles of plants and animals.
Drag Queen Storytime | 12:30pm and 2:00pm
This interactive and fun storytime session is based on the children's book The Rainbow Flamingo by Catherine Emmett.
Silent Disco | 2-4pm
Put on a pair of headphones and immerse yourself in music and nature as our Estuary Shoreline Garden is transformed into a lively dance floor.
Rainbow Trail | self-led
Take part in a fact-filled scavenger hunt through our wetlands. Search for the colours of the rainbow in the natural world with the help of a free activity leaflet.
Rainbow Crafts | all day
Head to the Art Hub to create sustainable crafts inspired by colourful wetland creatures. Decorate a pair of paper wings to wear as you celebrate Pride in Nature.
